This cottage is the perfect place to put the fire on and get cozy on a wintry evening.
The view is spectacular and it is located very close to many must see locations.
We had an amazing week and would recommend the cottage to anyone looking for some rest and relaxation in a beautiful spot.

One of the most beautiful and calm places we’ve been to during our tour in Northern Ireland. The cottage was super clean and cozy, there is a lovely view on to the shore. The hosts are very kind. Upon request we got a nice lunch box for a ur continued hike.
Thank you so much Nicolás and Jasmin for leaving a great review after enjoying your short stay at Tornaroan Cottage- we hope you will come back again to see a bit more of the beautiful Causeway Coast. Happy hiking, Joanne and Martin
Fantastic host, beautiful location, perfect romantic break away in a traditional cottage with best accommodation and views only a quick walk to the sea the beach the pub. Highly recommend this as an escape a rest a vacation
Thanks Tony for taking the time to write a review and it looks like you had a great time at the cottage. Looking forward to hosting you both again. All the best, Joanne
We stayed at Tornaroan Cottage for 4 nights at the end of August and could easily have stayed longer. It was a very busy time in Ballycastle itself as the Lammas Fair was on but the situation of the cottage meant we were away from the hustle and bustle of the town but close enough to still walk down the lane and along the beach to it. We only did this once as there was so much to see and experience from the cottage. It was a beautiful day when we arrived on the ferry in Belfast and we took the Causeway Coast Road to it. The drive was amazing!! When we arrived at the cottage it was everything we could have wanted. Clean comfortable with many homely touches. The views across to Rathlin Island were just so lovely. I can't recommend a stay at Tornaroan enough. Thank you for the Prosecco and the extras, milk eggs etc you left out for us.
Thank you for your lovely review Bernadette and I’m so glad that you liked the cottage and your stay in Ballycastle. The Ould Lammas Fair is the oldest fair in Ireland a unique event in Northern Ireland and hugely busy in Ballycastle so it was nice that you were able to experience it yet also see the quieter side at the cottage. Hope to host you again when you visit Ireland again, all the best, Joanne
Our stay at Tornaroan could not have been more lovely. We were welcomed graciously by our hosts, who had taken great care with the cleanliness and appointment of the cottage. The rooms were comfortable and afforded the quiet rest we were seeking on holiday. We enjoyed evening meals in the garden overlooking the sea and the neighboring farmer's sheep. We walked nearby seacoast trails and enjoyed a day's outing to Rathlin for seabird watching. Being outside the bustle of downtown Ballycastle gave us access to the shops and pubs when we wanted them. In short, a perfect place to enjoy the north coast.
Thank you so much for your review Amy, it was a real pleasure to meet and chat with you and your husband. It's lovely that you experienced the peace and quiet of Tornaroan Cottage; enjoyed sitting in the garden appreciating the views and were able to visit lots of places whilst here; hope to see you again one day. Joanne
The cottage is outstandingly beautiful, very spacious yet a cosy atmosphere and the views of Ballycastle below and Rathlin Island took our breaths away. Nothing negative but I would say it is up a hill (which gives the beautiful vista!) and takes a good walk or drive to get to the town and beach. (from Booking.com Jul 2021)
We stayed at Tornaroan Cottage last month and had a great time - it was a special weekend for us. The views of the sea and Rathlin Island, the relaxing countryside and nature, and an old cottage with lots of character but also all the comfort and facilities we needed. We enjoyed having breakfast in the garden in the sun in the morning, and dinner inside, all with lovely views. A nice relaxing getaway, but also with the restaurants, bars and shops of Ballycastle a short drive away. Joanne seems to have thought of everything in terms of the facilities - the bottle of prosecco was also a nice touch, cheers!
The cottage is spacious, cosy & immaculately clean. The location is wonderful with spectacular unrestricted seaviews across to Rathlin Island. One highlight of our stay was having breakfast while watching the ever-changing views & various birds visiting the garden.
The cottage is heated by a traditional range & a wood burning stove, comprehensive instructions for which are provided by Joanne, also kindling, logs & peat to get you started. There are 2 shower rooms with lovely fluffy towels & shampoo, soap & shower gel provided. The cottage is convenient for visiting all the local sights & just a few minutes from beautiful Ballycastle beach. Joanne goes above & beyond by providing a thoughtful & much appreciated welcome pack- milk, teabags, biscuits & a surprise bottle of Prosecco! We love the authentic period furniture & decoration & we would enjoy the cosy atmosphere & comfort in any weather- we stayed in January & we will definitely be back!Highly recommended! Thank you Joanne.
Thank you for your lovely review Lee and it was a pleasure to host you. We have some beautiful scenery and places around Ballycastle and you don't have to travel too far to experience it, you're welcome back anytime. All the best, Joanne
I stayed in Tornaroan Cottage with 2 friends who had never been to the North coast before. We had a great stay - the cottage is perfectly located for exploring the area. However, if you just want to sit in the garden and enjoy the peace and quiet it has a spectacular view. It is very well equipped for all weathers, and is extremely comfortable and cosy. Joanne is a very welcoming host and I hope to re-book before long.
Thanks again Jane for the great review, it's so lovely when guests love the cottage as much as we do. Please return again with some more friends to show them the beauty that Northern Ireland has to offer. All the best, Joanne
