We stayed at Jo and Martin's place in the middle of July 2019. We are a family of 2 adults and 2 children (10 and 16). From the minute I opened the door and saw the welcome from Jo, I knew we had picked the right place. The cottage is just lovely, old world charm, with just great comfort. The main bedroom is lovely and spacious, with the second bedroom perfect for two children. The house was warm and cosy from the range cooker when we arrived. Jo looks after you well with all the bare essentials including some tasty whiskey marmalade. I did miss the washing machine, but as my husband said, it's easy to bring enough clothes for the stay to not need one. The children loved the books and games, (we had a serious game of monopoly which lasted two nights) and all the little extras that makes this cottage so homely. Ballycastle is just beautiful, and the surrounding area is full of such interesting places; Dunluce Castle, Giant Causeway, Carrig a Rede Rope bridge, Kinbane castle, just to name few. We will be back, Thankyou Jo and Martin
Stayed here at the end of October for 3 nights with my husband and two young kids. Had a fab time! Was so peaceful, views were amazing and the enclosed garden was great for the kids.
Joanne was a great host, the welcome items were so thoughtful and contact was maintained before and through our stay. Will definitely be back and highly recommend this cottage, it was just so great.
We have always loved Ballycastle, but this was a totally different experience, so chilled, could sit and watch the views of the light houses and Rathlin Island all day!
Will be back for sure!
This is a splendid destination. Spotless beautiful accommodation. Magnificent views . Convenient to the town for meals, beautiful walks in the surrounding countryside and in Rathlin Island. Prompt communication with Joanne who provided lovely welcoming treats. Would highly recommend a visit to this lovely cottage.
Beautiful cottage at an amazing location. Wonderful surroundings which made for a very authentic feel. Owner was a great help and made sure nothing was a problem. Highly recommend and will be back.
Thanks a million. Had a great trip. Wonderful place to stay. Beautiful views
An excellent location to explore the wonderful surrounding area. We thoroughly recommend visiting Ballintoy, Cushenden, Rathlin Island, the rope bridge and, of course, the Giant's Causeway. The cottage was great, a real 'home from home'. Joanne kept in touch before and during our trip to make sure we were fine - an excellent host. The views from the cottage are amazing, especially the sunsets and the view of Rathlin Island. We cannot recommend the cottage and our holiday highly enough. Thank you!
My Dad and I stayed in July 2017. Although it was 'summer', it was still Northern Ireland so we really appreciated the range cooker that kept the whole house a lovely temperature the whole time. The house was very clean, and the two living spaces/two bathrooms were fantastic for us. The towels were a luxurious touch - huge and fluffy! The views were second to none and it was great eating breakfast looking out the glass doors across the ocean and island. It was only a short drive into town to the co-op for all our shopping needs. And there were plenty of pubs for our drinking needs too! Joanne was always quick to respond and was kind enough to provide us with a few essentials, including bread and butter, which was very generous. We would definitely stay again!
The view from this home is amazing! It is spacious and comfy. The bed was perfect! We would stay again.
Completely awesome! Thank you for such wonderful hospitality. Your place is beautiful and truly the view is the handwork of God!
Thank you for a fantastic week! This gorgeous cottage and stunning location fills the senses and delights the soul in every way
